Excerpt from ‘7/4 (Shoreline)’ by Broken Social Scene

I wrote this part down for several of my drum students to help explain different time signatures.

The part is fairly simple, and best to think of as two separate, alternating 4/4 and 3/4 measures. After that, the main challenge is just getting it up to the recording’s tempo.
